Description:
A large shaggy antelope, with long body and rather short sturdy
legs. Reddish brown to grizzled gray, darkening with age; legs
black. White markings include eyebrows, insides of ears, muzzle
(nostrils bare and black) , Throat bib, and buttocks
or rump ring. Horns are long, strong, heavily ridged, and
the points curve forward measuring 22"-40" long Length: 5'11" - 7'10" Height: 4' - 4'3" Weight: 356lbs - 574lbs Habitat: Grasslands near woodlands, within a few miles of water Breeding: Year-round 1 calf born after gestation of 8-8.5 months; births pear during rainy seasons
